Huge crowd at St. Louis "Hot Air" event

St. Louis, MO

300 grassroots activists joined us at the St. Louis "Hot Air" event last night as we kicked off the second leg of our ongoing national tour focused on stopping the energy tax known as Cap and Trade.

One of the first folks to arrive was a man who drove 90 miles to as he put it, "send the politicians a message." A couple I spoke with from the St. Charles area told me they were attending their first ever political event because they heard about AFP on the local news talk radio station and had to get involved. A grandmother was there with her daughter and two granddaughters, all of whom went up for a ride in our "Cost of Hot Air" balloon.

Most important of all, we sent a strong message to Senator Claire McCaskill. We asked our activists to pull out their cellphones and call the Senator's district offices. We were kind enough to read out Senator McCaskill's office numbers from the podium.

This morning we're holding another Hot Air event in Nashville with special guest, Phil Valentine, one of America's very best talk radio personalities. Then, it's off to Little Rock, Fayetteville and then into Louisiana.

We're going to win this battle to keep President Obama and Speaker Pelosi from passing this job killing, tax increasing Cap and Trade legislation. For more information on this terrible legislation go to CostofHotAir.com.

More coming soon from the road! In the meantime, enjoy some pictures from the event.
